Why Village RES?.

63% of all rural households in India don not have electricity and use
kerosene for lighting. Even those villages, which are electrified face
a severe shortage of power supply - frequent black-outs are
common. The whole country is facing a power problem affecting
industrial growth and GDP. Naturally, the Electricity boards fix their
priority in the urban and industrial areas and hardly look at the rural
conditions. Given this background, there are very few options  for
the villagers: wait for the government to provide electricity or take
the power in their own hands. Village RES facilitates the second
